It’s official Pokémon GO has officially taken over every aspect of society. It’s helping with law enforcement, it’s helping children and the disabled socialise more, and it brings people together by the thousands. Now, though, the game has entered the relationship scene, look out Tinder I’ve got my Masterball set on that human!

As of today, there is now a Pokémon GO-focused dating service called PokéDates. It works like this: You enter some basic info about yourself, and you tell the site what times are your prime Pokémon hunting hours. Then the site pairs you up with another player, giving you a time and place (near a PokéStop or a Gym, obviously) to meet up. You then go to the spot and meet your fellow trainer and prepare to tell your children the story of how you got together.

PokeDates Pokemon Go Niantic Labs Project Fixup Love Romance Modern Dating Swipe Right

PokéDates is run by a group known as Project Fixup, a start-up focused on getting people to meet offline. They state on the official PokéDates page that their mission goal is to get people hooked up without relying on sitting at a desk swiping and browsing through endless profiles.

At Project Fixup, we believe that dating should be about getting out there, meeting new people, and enjoying the world around… not sitting on your computer browsing, swiping, and messaging back and forth. Project Fixup is about OFFline dating, and saving you the hours of time you would spend online to end up with the same date.

Signing-up is free and so is your first PokéDate (using promo code “POKEDATES2016”), but subsequent meetings will run you $20 each. They have no restrictions on preference, sexual orientation or race, so if you’re over 18 and you can spare $20 for a meet-up, you’re good to go. That might seem like a bit much, but $20 is also a pretty cheap date.

Pokemon Go Gotta Catch Em All

They do have a few restrictions for using their service, including barring those who have felonies. So any of the four robbers who used Pokémon GO to rob the kids, they won’t be eligible for dating fellow Pokémon GO users. Additionally, anyone who is a sex offender or registered as one under the U.S., Federal Government are also barred from using PokéDates.

If you’re ready to get on your bike and catch ’em all the one, check out PokéDates here.
